ANNUAL REPORTS
2024 Main Street Annual Report &
Accompanying Holiday Card
Main Street, a non-profit based in Maryland, created an inclusive and affordable apartment complex for adults of all abilities. It is a truly special place and the goal for their annual report was to capture the warmth and inclusivity of the community. Inspired by the client’s description of Main Street as being “so many things,” my concept "Main Street is" was developed. Residents and board members were asked to provide one word that describes Main Street, and these words were incorporated into the report’s cover, using varied typography to reflect the diversity and spirit of the community. The concept was carried throughout the entire report.
The client wanted this to be energetic and colorful. Many member of their community are visually impaired. This added another limitation to the design. To ensure the design was inclusive, colors were carefully selected using a contrast checker tool to meet accessibility standards, ensuring the report was legible for all.

2025 Main Street Annual Report
For the 2025 Main Street Annual Report, the theme “Rising Up: Where Our Voices Are Heard” guided both the concept and execution. A key addition to this report was a powerful storytelling element that gave Main Street residents the opportunity to truly be heard.
The residents were recorded reading original poems that reflected the impact Main Street has had on their lives. These recordings were integrated throughout the report with strategically-placed QR codes, allowing readers to actually HEAR the residents’ voices and experience their stories in an authentic, personal way.
To visually represent the idea of "rising up without limits," I used imagery of blue fading skies used throughout the report. Drawing from Main Street’s vibrant rainbow color palette, the design features bold contrast and high visual energy. Key takeaways and juicy”nuggets of information were pulled out from the main body copy to keep readers excited, engaged, and moving through the report.
